Step one is dramatically increasing the number of homes getting built by easing up on restrictions to homes, pre-approving all types of neighborhood scale housing forms, reducing expensive parking mandates, simplifying the rules and speeding up the permitting process.

Our city is quickly losing the essential personnel that makes any community thrive, from teachers, nurses, and construction workers, to TSA personnel, we need at least 20,000 units of new and refurbished homes EVERY YEAR to keep Austin working.

WELCOME FAMILIES OF ALL FORMS 

Families come in all different forms, so shouldn’t our homes reflect that? We need to legalize all forms of family-friendly housing, from backyard cottages, to smaller homes to neighborhood scaled apartments, with easy access to daycares, healthy food, and safe transportation options.

BE NEIGHBORLY
